It's Almost 4th Quarter

Wow.  Did you read that post title?!?  3rd quarter is almost finished which means that we are just a few months away from the end of the year! Does that make anyone else a little excited AND sad at the same time?  The end of the year is always a little exciting, being able to see all the progress we've made and to reflect on all the moments we've shared.  And it's always a little sad because our time together as a close knit classroom is coming to a close...with summer comes change like families moving, kiddos growing, and the building itself will undergo change with the construction taking place.

But...that's still a few months away. No point in me getting all sentimental right now - we've still got WORK TO DO! :)   It IS still 3rd quarter, at least for a few more days.   We will be getting ready to assess for the end of the quarter and grade cards will be going out by the end of the month.  Be sure to let me know of any concerns you might have.

We are getting ready to jump into a Physics unit where we will be doing several experiments with the 4th grade classroom!  Mrs. Bowman and I are super excited as this is a new adventure that we expect to have great results and be something that we continue to do next year as well.   We will be focusing on force & motion as well as magnets.  By the end of the unit, your kiddo should be able to tell you 1)what is a force, 2) how friction affects force and motion, and 3) explain how magnets work.  I am excited!

I promise to get a few more pictures up after this week back (when the routine gets normal and the "after spring break chaos" calms down) and update a bit more on our progress. I hope you enjoyed spring break -- did anyone do anything fun or exciting?!?
